This boat has a story...
Haulout in
Paradise...

Pictures are worth a
thousand words...

In November of 1997, powerful Hurricane Martin struck the French Polynesian islands. This German owned sailing vessel ended up stranded deep in the palms of a desserted atoll 156 miles west of the island of Raiatea. LE CARENAGE was contacted and presented with the situation by the owners... "I think were stranded"

In addition to the boat being possibly salvageable, international maritime law requires the owners of such unfortunate vessels to remove their boats from the islands- at owners expense. This can present a daunting problem...

Staying true to our motto, "You have a problem? We can take care of it!",
LE CARENAGE SERVICES quickly assembled a crew and put into motion the rescue mission...

What a mess!
Atoll after the storm...
Lots of sweating...
Chainsawing free...
This was interesting...
Building a dolley...
Oh, what a feeling!
Getting her in the water...

"YOU HAVE A PROBLEM? WE CAN TAKE CARE OF IT!"
(Yes, we really mean it...)
